Last week, I covered the consequences and penalties that can be levied against an infringer. They included money damages and criminal charges! No one wants to be an infringer.

I spend a lot of time talking about protecting our expertise through contracts and copyrights. Owning and controlling the fruits of our expertise is how we create scalable and saleable services businesses.

Copyright infringement and plagiarism are often used interchangeably. These terms can be confusing, but it is important to understand the differences as they represent distinct forms of legal and ethical violations…and have varying consequences.
